About

The excitement of a new discovery, the frustration of hitting a genealogical brick wall, the suspicion that a family story may not be the whole story; this blog is my place to record my thoughts as I research my family history. It’s a place where I can collect and tell stories of my ancestors and the times in which they lived.

I’m an amateur genealogist, and started researching family seven years ago. My roots are in southern England, Ireland and Scotland.

  1. Hey Andrew,

We have a project called The Descendants Project, in regards to the Anzac Centenary this coming year. As I was doing some research I came upon your great-grandfather’s story…

We are seeking for Gallipoli War veteran descendants and we still have a few places left… If you have an object that once belonged to your great-grandfather (a rifle, flask, fob watch, etc.) you would be perfect for the project.

Have a look and let me know if you’d be interested!
    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Zeynep
